Description

Theodore Roosevelt: Bronze Bas Relief Portrait Plaque by James Earle Fraser. This very attractive plaque was executed by Fraser, who apprenticed under Augustus Saint-Gaudens and is best known as the designer of the Buffalo nickel. Below TR's likeness are the words, "Aggressive Fighting for the Right is the Noblest Sport the World Affords." Produced by the Decorative Arts League of New York. The plaque measures 10" x 12.75" and has a nice patina. Signed "Fraser 1920."

Condtion: A beautiful example with rich chocolate brown patina. One of the nicest we've handled.
