After John F. Kennedy's assassination on November 22, 1963, his body was immediately returned to Washington, D.C. On November 23, Kennedy was laid in repose in the East Room of the White House before being moved the next day to lie in state at the Capitol. There, more than 250,000 people filed in to view the flag-draped coffin. On November 25, Kennedy's state funeral service was held at Saint Matthew's Cathedral. The note featured here matches the stationery used for the service.

Condition: The note is lightly toned and the envelope is toned along the edges. The note has mounting traces on the verso of the card and envelope.
