Description

Abraham Lincoln: Rare Circa 1865 Coin Silver Pocket Watch.
The portrait of Lincoln is the same as found on Lincoln tokens, and the watch itself is of that period. There is no memorial flavor to the decoration, and it is certainly possible that this watch was issued prior to Lincoln's assassination. The case is marked "Warranted Coin Silver", the movement is Swiss dating from the mid-nineteenth century, and the dial is of plain white enamel. While not in running order, the watch is in nice displayable condition with light, even surface wear indicating that it was carried for years. Ornate Victorian fob attached. Diameter 2.125". Also comes with a small glass domed display case.
