Description

Andrew Jackson and John Quincy Adams: Rare Medals. The Jackson piece is listed as AJACK-1828-1, 46mm, white metal. The obverse reads, "General Jackson/ the/ Gallant/ & Successful/ Defender of New/ Orleans & Candi/ Date for the Pre/ Sidency of the/ United States/ Of America/ 1828." The Adams piece is listed as JQA-1828-1, 46mm, white metal. The obverse reads, "His Excellency/ John Quincy Adams/ President/ of the United/ States of America/ 1828."

Condition: Both examples are tarnished, with some oxidation throughout, particularly at the rims. These samples also have varying amounts of scratching throughout, with the JQA-1828-1 exhibiting deeper and more numerous traces of the condition on its obverse side and additional light pitting along the rim. In good condition, these rare medals would make a nice addition to a display.
