Description
Grover Cleveland: Inaugural Pocket Watch. Large and weighty brass pocket watch featuring raised embossed images of Grover and Frances Cleveland with the date, "Mar. 4, 1893" beneath their likenesses. The dial is inscribed, "Cleveland Inaugural Watch/ March 4, 1893/ Robt. H. Ingersoll & Bro/ Makers New York." The watch is 2 1/2" in diameter and approximately 1" wide. The original crystal is intact. Watch appears to be in working order, however, there may have been a repair to the hinge which opens the case. Included is an 11" long brass watch chain with with a decorative 25mm fob or token attached. The fob/token depicts an image of a tree, not appearing to have a political relevance.Auction Info
