Description
John F. Kennedy: 1963 "Texas Welcome Dinner" Grouping. The collection includes a Welcome Dinner program picturing President Kennedy, Vice President Johnson and Governor Connally, a glossy Texas Welcome pamphlet, and a press kit. The group also includes a collection of Kennedy mourning buttons and a 1 3/4" x 2 1/2" piece of black fabric that draped the doors, mantles and chandeliers at the White House. It comes with a printed note from Lawrence J. Arata, White House Upholsterer. While the dinner program does come to market from time to time, the press kits don't appear as often.
