Description

Pierce & King: 1852 Grand National Banner. 10" x 14", small folio, hand-colored lithograph published by Nathaniel Currier in 1852, titled "Grand National Democratic Banner. Press Onward." Features the 1852 Democrats, Franklin Pierce and William King, beneath a portrait of Washington, an eagle, and a shield. Captioned at the very top is the text, "In Union Is Strength."

Condition: Backed, tear and loss at top right corner, closed tear at right edge, border discoloration. Still retains bold colors. Backing is starting to pull apart at the top.
