Declaration of Independence: August 1776 Gentleman's Magazine. August 1776 issue of the Gentleman's Magazine. Published by Sylvanus Urban in London, 4.75" x 8.25", 50pp., disbound. The Declaration of Independence appears on pages 361-362. The "Proceedings of the American Colonists" in passing the Port Bill in Boston appears on page 377. This is apparently the first appearance of the Declaration in an English publication. The front cover table of contents refers to it the "Declaration of American Independency".Condition: Fine
