Civil War: Identification / Dog Tag of Pvt. Ira G. Seely, 90th New York Infantry -"Deserted". 28mm, brass. Civil War soldier's identification tag belonging to Private Ira G. Seely. He mustered into "F" Co. New York 90th Infantry on October 14, 1861. He deserted on November 24, 1861 at East New York, NY. The New York 90th regiment, initially organized as heavy artillery, also served in an infantry capacity during the war, engaging in major battles including Spotsylvania, Cold Harbor, and Petersburg.Condition: Expected wear from use, tarnish but legible with good detail.
