Transportation: Large Poster for the "Ohio & Pennsylvania Rail Road". Gorgeous circa 1856 poster measuring 25.5" x 32", linen backed to an overall size of 27.5" x 34". This poster captures the spirit of early pioneer travel by rail to the western territories. Touted as "The Only Rail Road West From Pittsburgh" and the "First Rail Road Opened Between the Eastern and Western States" carrying "A Million And A Half Of Passengers, Up to January 1, 1856."
