Description

John C. Breckinridge: Largest Size Ferrotype Doughnut. JCB-1860-13, 47mm, silvered brass shell. Lovely design with a substantial and ornate frame. The Breckinridge portrait has light scratching, particularly from the forehead to the cheekbone, and several minor emulsion bubbles. The Joseph Lane portrait is in excellent condition. Both photographs maintain a sharp focus and good contrast, and some of the original silvering remains. Overall, great condition. No minimum bid. From the J.Doyle Dewitt Collection.
