Description
Coolidge & Dawes: Rare 2 1/8" Real Photo Capitol Jugate Pocket Mirror. Awesome mirror depicting oval portraits of the 1924 Republicans flanking the Capitol with eagles perched above each portrait, inscribed "For President Calvin Coolidge Vice President Charles G. Dawes". Also produced in 7/8" as a pinback, but this is the much more desirable size and format. It is safe to say that no more than half a dozen are known. Outstanding in all respects!Condition: Small brown spot on the curl which appears to be part of the manufacturing process (lamination and sealing). It does not appear when viewed from the front. Tight 1" celluloid split which is barely noticeable when viewed from the front and is mentioned for accuracy only. Some light scratches visible only at an angle and upon magnification. Displays in near-mint condition. A beauty!
