The Boston Gazette and Country Journal: The Patriot Boycott of British Goods. 9 1/2" x 15", 4 pgs., Dec 18, 1769. This Colonial American newspaper contains a prominent front page masthead engraving designed by Paul Revere. It also contains a prominent front page list of 7 Massachusetts merchants (upper left top corner) who declined to boycott the importation of British goods as the patriots of Boston demanded in response to the taxes imposed on the American Colonies by Great Britain. The Boston Gazette was one of the most notable American newspapers with articles and editorials fighting against the British taxes and thus moving the American Colonies closer to the beginning of the American Revolution.

Condition: Disbound, age at top left corner, edge roughness. Overall fine condition.
