Description

Crow Beaded Hide Rifle Scabbard, c. 1870. At it's barrel end, this tanned hide scabbard has a 10", multicolored seed beaded border complimented by two bands of red trade cloth and long fringe. The muzzle end is also bead and fringe bordered. The rawhide is thread sewn. There is a circular patch on one side. With moderate handling wear and several small, scattered tears and holes throughout, this scabbard is in very good condition. The Michael Ward Collection of Western Americana
