Description
Zachary Taylor: Embossed Brass Portrait Medallion. ZT-1848-9, 39mm, brass shell. Very rare! Obverse contains an engraved portrait under glass of the 1848 Whig candidate with the inscription "General Taylor Never Surrenders." The gilt brass back plate has a raised inscription which reads, "In Honor Of The/ Hero/ Of/ Palo Alto/ Resaca De La Palma/ Monterey/ And/ Buena Vista." Expected wear with minor light tan mark on the side of Taylor's head. Does not include suspension loop. Overall, this medallion is in excellent condition with lustrous surfaces. No minimum bid.
