James Buchanan: 1856 "Buchanan and Breckinridge" Campaign Flag. 8" x 13.25" name flag listed as #264 in Threads of History by Herbert Collins. Very unusual design having the names listed vertically instead of horizontally. The thirty-one-star flag has some light age and wear but is in overall fine condition. This is the only example of this design we know of and may be unique. We expect spirited bidding when this piece crosses the auction block!Auction Info
