Description

Franklin Pierce: Exceedingly Rare 1852 Silk Campaign Ribbon. Along with Scott and Cass, the toughest mid-nineteenth century candidate to find on a silk ribbon. Sullivan and Fischer picture but two single-portrait designs. This one is listed as FP-3, size 2" x 6 1/4". There are probably fewer than ten single-portrait Pierce ribbons of all varieties. This one is a beauty, in crisp condition, essentially excellent but for a couple trivial light age spots. One appears above the word "Citizen" and the other, even more miniscule, is just below the portrait on the right.
