Description
Andrew Jackson: White House China. 9" soup plate with two concentric circles in gold. The back side has an old Dennison paper label reading: "1829-1837/ Andrew Jackson/ Soup plate from State Dinner Service/ Border 1/4 in gold/ Slightly rubbed". Excellent condition. A similar example is pictured as illustration #13 in Klapthor's "Official White House China" where it says: "French porcelain plate supposed to have been used in the President's House during the administration of Andrew Jackson."
