Description

George Washington: Circa 1775/1780 Colored Mezzotint. 7 1/4" x 10" [sight] military portrait of Washington, double-matted and framed to an overall size of 13 1/2" x 17". Captioned "George Washington, Esquier. Général et Commandeur en Chef d'Armée des XIII Provinces". Modeled after a painting by Alexander Campbell of Williamsburg and sold in London by Thomas Hart. Hand-colored in pink, purple, yellow and blue.

Condition: Some faint horizontal folds from prior rolling up.
