Octavo (7.5 x 5 inches; 190 x 128 mm.). 198, [2] pages. Frontispiece and three additional inserted plates by Fred Pegram. Publisher's perfect binding, original red paper wrappers; all text block edges trimmed. Backstrip dulled just a shade, with faint creasing along vertical length; wrinkled abrasions along rear joint, possibly from repaired gouges; tiny split starting at ends of rear joints; light rubbing to wrappers; two small drip stains at front wrapper; mild wear along edges, with corners worn through at rear. Text block softly dulled with age, particularly along edges; tiny amount of speckle-soiling at top edge. Near fine. Housed in custom black cloth clamshell. Queen's Quorum 30.Auction Info
