Description
George and Martha Washington: Silhouettes on Glass. Pair of rather large wall plaques, measuring 5 1/2" x 7". Each has a silhouette on glass of the Founding Couple labeled "Martha Washington" and "Washington 1791". Thistle hardware and suspension loop. Gold and white highlights. Save for some minor chipping on the edges of the Martha Washington plaque, very fine condition. We have sold similar plaques in the past, depicting various figures of the Revolutionary War period. They all evince a good deal of age.Auction Info
