Description

Confederate Spurs: Different Varieties.
Nice group of Confederate spurs including a small version of the CS-22 style, a pair of CS-21 spurs (one missing its rowel), a CS-19 Western Theater spur with a 12-point one inch rowel. It is very thin and possibly issued late in the war when brass was at a premium and, lastly, a spur that was identified by Crouch as CS-10, but is now thought to be a Oakes officer's spur. The spur has a replaced rowel and is stamped "Tiffany New York". A fine group. From the Bob Baird Collection.
