Description

Apollo Program: Saturn V Helium Fill Module from the Auxiliary Propulsion System. An important module from the APS of the Apollo Saturn V moon rocket, measuring 6.125" x 5.25" x 4.25". Manufactured by Vinson Company Incorporated for Douglas Aircraft Company for NASA, the unit bears the NASA George C. Marshall Space Flight Center aluminum data plate which reads, in part: "Module, Helium Fill APS/ Assy No A-62394 509A-C/ Contr No NAS7-101/ Ser No 1031/ Date 12 29 [196]5". Module body is a high alloy aluminum casting and bears cast-in-place and stamped port designation letters and part identification numbers. Excellent condition.
