Description

[Civil War]. Parole Document for Union Soldier. One partially-printed page, 7.75" x 3.75", July 15, 1863, parole form for Union soldier S.C.D. Brock, who was captured by John Morgans near Rockhill Belmont. The parole has been signed by "Captain Jones" as witness, with the understanding that Brock would not bear arms against the Confederate States again.

Condition: Toned throughout, creasing from folds, small amounts of paper loss around edges. Part of Brock's last name has been scratched through with pencil.
