One black and white sepia print after noted Civil War photographer, Alexander Gardner. measuring 9"x 7", double mounted on the verso and double matted to an overall 16.75"x 15.75". The picture depicts a group of union officers at the Aquia Creek landing, captioned by the Library of Congress as "Col. [Rogers], Lt. Col. Sawtelle, Dr. Whyte, Capt. McGraw and Capt. J.W. Forsyth, Provost Marshal, Major A. Parker Porter."

Condition: dampstained; edges reinforced on verso with cello-tape; pencil notations to verso, minor edgewear.
