Description
U.S. Springfield 1863 Percussion Musket.Unserialized, .58 caliber, 39 1/2-inch unfinished barrel with fixed front sight and folding rear sight. Top of barrel stamped: V / P / (eagle head) and 1864. Lock marked: 1863, (eagle) and U.S. / SPRINGFIELD. Smooth hardwood full-stock with three barrel bands, sling swivels and metal ramrod.
Condition: Very good. Overall showing honest handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Heavy scuffs, dings and bruising present to wood. Action crisp. Bright bore.
