Description
Colt Lightning Model Slide Action Rifle.Serial no. 40792 [lower tang], .44 caliber, 25-inch barrel with fixed front sight and adjustable rear sight. Nickel-plated. Smooth walnut straight stock and checkered fore-end. Trivial stars stamped to right side of stock. Crescent metal buttplate. Manufactured in 1889.
Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 40-50% of a thinning finish, with noticeable signs of handling wear and pitting. Scattered scuffs and scratches present to wood. Crack through each side of stock near base. Action needs adjustment. Moderately pitted bore.
