Cased 12 Gauge Holland & Holland Royal Hammerless Ejector Double Barrel Shotgun with Extra Set of Barrels.Serial no. 33775 [receiver, barrels and fore-end], 12 gauge [both 2 3/4-inches], 28 and 30-inch barrels with concave rib and front bead sight. Set triggers. 28-inch barrels marked HOLLAND & HOLLAND / 13. BRUTON STREET, LONDON and the number 1 in gold. 30-inch barrels marked HOLLAND & HOLLAND / 13. BRUTON STREET, LONDON and the number 1 / C in gold also marked MADE IN ENGLAND / ROYAL underneath. Blued finish barrels, lever and triggerguard. Case-hardened receiver, each side marked HOLLAND & HOLLAND. Left side also marked MADE IN ENGLAND. Bottom of receiver marked ROYAL / MODEL. Elaborately scroll and floral engraved receiver, triggerguard, lever, upper tang and fore-end metal. Finely checkered walnut straightgrip stock and splinter fore-end Anson-style release. A.L.S. marked gold oval plate inlaid into the lower edge of the butt. Contained in original leather carrying case marked A.L.S. / 1 on lid. Maroon felt lining with Holland and Holland snap caps and Holland accessories. Inside label reads ROYAL HAMMERLESS EJECTOR GUN / REGULATED FOR 31 GRAINS OF NEOBELS SMOKELESS / POWDER AND 1 1/4 OZS. OF NO 6 SHOT / 2 3/4 CHAMBERS WITH EXTRA PAIR BARRELS. Length of pull: 15 1/2-inches. Weight: 6 1/2 pounds with 30-inch barrels. Note: Fore-end and top of receiver marked 1. This is appears to be a mate to SN# 36676 which has number 2 on fore-end and top of receiver.
Condition: Fine. Retraining approximately 94-96% with light handling wear. Minor wear to lower tang near serial number and scattered fine scratches. Stocks, fine to excellent with very minor scuffs and dings, from handling. Case with minor scuffs and wear to outside. Inside with light loses to felt, scuffs to corners and where metal sits on. Accessories with moderate wear, needs cleaning. Action crisp. Bores bright.
