Arthur C. Knox (1921-2016), Naval Academy Graduate of 1944, Navigation Work Book.

Knox graduated from the Naval Academy in 1944 with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. He served in the Pacific Theater in the later stages of WWII. After the war he transitioned to aviation and flew fighter jets. He resigned his commission in the mid-1950s and worked as a test pilot for North American Aviation eventually working on the ejection seats in the Apollo Command Module in the Space Shuttle program. This large notebook was used by him while at the Naval Academy to learn navigation. Laid in the book are two typed signed letters from Ohio Congresswoman Frances P. Bolton notifying Knox of his acceptance into the Naval Academy.
