Civil War Pattern of 1861 Cartridge Box with Polished Cotton Shoulder Belt.A nice example of the 1861 cartridge box with brass U.S. box plate. All straps, flaps and buckles present. Main latch strap repaired. No visible arsenal or maker marks. Complete with tins. The origin of the white / buff cotton shoulder belt is something of a mystery.
Condition: Very good. Overall showing honest handling and age wear.
