Ornate Japanese Kozuka for Samurai Sword With Flying Stork Motif.Blade length approximately 5 1/2-inches; 8 3/4-inches overall. Decorated with flying stork and gold inlay sun. Note: A kozuka is the decorative handle for a small utility knife carried in a samurai sword scabbard; this example, adorned with a flying stork motif, symbolizes longevity and good fortune in Japanese culture.
Condition: Blade tarnished, otherwise in very good condition.
