Description
British 1863 Tower Snider Conversion Percussion Carbine.Serial no. 327, .577 caliber, 21 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight and folding rear ladder sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Bayonet lug. Lock marked: (crown) and 1863 / TOWER. Top of action stamped: SNIDER / PATENT. Smooth walnut straight stock with sling swivels. Brass triggerguard and buttplate. Metal ramrod.
Condition: Very good. Retaining traces of finish and case colors. Showing light handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Dings and scuffs present to wood. Action crisp. Bright bore.
