Description
Engraved Westley Richards SXS Double Barrel Shotgun.Serial no. 15795 [barrels, fore-end and lower tang], 12 gauge, 30-inch barrels with smooth rib and fixed front bead sight. Blued finish. Top of barrel marked: LONDON. Base of barrels marked: 729 (crown) / BP 2-3/4 3-3/4 SLEEVED / TONS PER. Elaborately scroll engraved receiver, lever and trigger. WESTLEY RICHARDS inscribed to each side of the receiver. Dual triggers. DEELEY'S PATENT / EJECTOR 9356 / PATENT 17731 / 1897 marked receiver flat. Checkered walnut straight stock and splinter fore-end. Checkered butt. Length of pull: 14 1/4-inches. Weight: 7-pounds, 2-ounces.
Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 97-99% finish with light handling wear and some fine patches of pitting. Few scattered scuffs and dings. Action crisp. Bright bores.
