Description
Winchester Model 97 Slide Action Trench Shotgun.Serial no. 816347 [barrel and frame], 12 gauge, 20-inch barrel with fixed front brass bead sight. Blued finish. Full choke. Case-hardened hammer. E inspectors mark to base of receiver, just above serial number. Smooth walnut pistolgrip stock and grooved fore-end. Checkered factory hard-rubber buttplate. Manufactured in 1931.
Condition: Good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with thinning to relief edges, handling wear and patches of pitting. Scattered dings and scuffs present to wood. Action good. Bright bore.
