Description
A Straight-Back Blade Bowie Knife Stamped Wostenholm, Sheffield.Overall length is 11 3/4-inches. Straight back blade measures approximately 7 1/4-inches. Left side of blade stamped WOSTENHOLM / SHEFFIELD. One-piece round natural grip with German silver staged pommel cap and oval guard. Contained in associated metal scabbard. Knife has a great look to it; unfortunately marking is contemporary.
Please note: George Wostenholm was known to have been one of the most important manufacturers of cutlery in the world.
Condition: Good to very good as configured. Blade heavily pitted and cleaned. Handle with age wear and marks. Mounts very good with toning/patina present. Scabbard with wear/aging and scuffs.
