Description
Cased Pair of Orvis Customized Spanish Double Barrel Shotguns.Comprising: 1.) Serial no. 25789 [barrels, fore-end and receiver], 12 gauge, 26-inch barrels with textured rib and front bead sight. 2.) Serial no. 27671 [barrels, fore-end and receiver], 12 gauge, 26-inch barrels with textured rib and front bead sight. Blued finishes. Tops of barrels marked: ORVIS CUSTOM BY UNION ARMERA / MANCHESTER V.T. S.L. SPAIN / ORVIS 12 GAUGE 2 3/4 IN. CHAM. Numbered 1 and 2 on breech, lever and fore-end (accented in gilt). Light scroll engraving to receivers, levers and triggerguards. Dual triggers. Checkered walnut straight stocks and splinter fore-ends. Length of pull: 14 1/2-inches. Weight: 6-pounds, 10-ounces. Contained in fitted leather carrying case marked: M.H. TOBIN.
Condition: Very good. Each retaining approximately 95-97% finish, with a few scattered thin spots, handling wear and very fine patches of pitting. Scuffs and scratches present to wood. Actions good. Strong bores. Cases displaying honest storage wear.
