Description
Cased and Engraved Spanish Arrieta Double Barrel Shotguns.Serial no's. 34187 and 34188 [barrels, fore-ends, lower tangs and receivers], 12-gauge, 25-inch barrels with fixed front bead sights. Blued finish. Elaborately scroll engraved coin-finished receiver, lever and triggerguard. Top of barrels marked: FCA. DE ESCOPETAS ARRIETA - ELGOIBAR (ESPANA). Breech and levers numbered 1 & 2, accented in gilt. Dual triggers. Checkered walnut straight stock and splinter fore-end. Silver oval escutcheon to base of each stock, engraved TM. Length of pull: 14 1/2-inches. Weight: 6-pounds, 14-ounces. Contained in fitted leather carrying case.
Condition: Very good. Each retaining approximately 94-96% finish with scattered thin spots, handling wear and very fine patches of pitting. Scratches and scuffs present to wood. Serial no. 34187 has noticeable surface rust spot to flat part of receiver. Actions good. Strong bores. Case displaying noticeable storage wear.
