Wartime Remington Rand Model 1911 A1 U.S. Army Semi-Automatic Pistol.Serial no. 947940, .45 caliber, 5-inch barrel with fixed front sight and micrometer adjust rear sight. Parkerized finish. Right side of slide marked: 7940. Right side of frame features: Ordnance proof, UNITED STATES PROPERTY M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY / T SA. FJA / P stamped to left side of frame. Checkered walnut grip panels. Textured frontstrap. Grip safety. Manufactured in 1943.
Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 90-94% finish with thinning to relief edges, handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Action crisp. Bright bore.
