USMC NO. 1 Marked
U.S. Marine Corps Colt Model 1909 Double Action
Revolver.Serial no. 26295 [frame and crane], .45 caliber, 5 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Blued finish. Case-hardened hammer and trigger. Rampant Colt logo, VP proof and the number 3 to left side of frame. Checkered walnut grip panels. Butt marked: US / MC / NO. / 1 / 295. Lanyard ring.
Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 20-30% finish, the balance a smooth grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Dings and scuffs present to wood. Action crisp. Bright bore. Nelson A. Faerber Collection.
