Description

Colt 1905 Marine Corps Model Civilian Issue Double Action Revolver.

Serial no. 753 [frame, crane and cylinder latch] and 10731 [butt], .38 caliber, 6-inch barrel with fixed front sight. Blued finish. Case-hardened hammer and trigger. VP proof mark, 3 and Rampant Colt to left side of frame. Left side of barrel marked COLT D.A. 38. Mother-of-pearl grip panels. Note: About 926 made, but only about 114 were commercial.

Condition: Good. Retaining traces of finish in protected areas, the balance a smooth grey patina with scattered handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Few scuffs and scratches present to grips. Action very tight. Strong bore. Nelson A. Faerber Collection.
