Marlin Model 1893 Lever Action Rifle.

Serial no. D3899 [base of receiver], .30-30 caliber, 26-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight and adjustable rear elevation right. Marlin address and patent dated to top of barrel. Blued and case-hardened finish. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Crescent metal buttplate. Manufactured in 1947. The Model 1893 was designed by John Marlin and became one of the most popular rifles of its time.

Condition: Good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina with signs of handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Scattered scuffs and dings present to wood. Crisp action. Lightly pitted bore. From the Collection of James Schubert.
