Description
U.S. Colt Cavalry Single Action Army Revolver.Serial no. 58618 [frame and butt], .45 caliber, 5 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Top of barrel marked: COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A. Three-line, three-date patent and US to left side of frame. Smooth walnut one-piece grip. Manufactured in 1880.
Condition: Very good as configured. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear, age and fine patches of pitting. Few scuffs and dings present to wood. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
