Lot of Two Joe Bowman Inscribed and Cased Ruger Vaquero Model
Commemorative Former Texas Rangers Foundation Single Action
Revolvers.Serial numbers: 510-65964 & 510-65965, .45 calibers, 4 3/4-inch barrels with fixed front sights and frame notch rear sights. Blued and case-hardened finish. Right sides of barrels marked: FORMER TEXAS RANGERS FOUNDATION. Gilt ring accents to barrels and cylinders. Gold-plated hammers and triggers. Checkered factory hard-rubber grip panels with embossed Ruger logos. Backstraps marked: TEXAS RANGER (badge) and JOE BOWMAN in script. Butts are numbered 3 and 4. Each contained in factory fitted plastic cases with literature and locks. Matching serial numbers on cases as well. Bowman's influence extended beyond performances; he collaborated with Ruger engineers to refine revolver designs, contributing to the development of the Ruger Vaquero. His modifications to earlier Ruger Blackhawks inspired the creation of the Vaquero line, blending traditional aesthetics with modern durability.
Condition: Excellent. Overall showing very light handling wear. Actions crisp. Bores bright. From Joe Bowman "The Straight Shooter Collection".
