Description
Neil Armstrong: Autograph Note Signed with Original Hand-Addressed Envelope. One page, 5.5" x 4.25", written on the inside of a preprinted Apollo 11 foldover acknowledgement note card, Seabrook, Texas, no date [early 1970]. In response to a request for him to sign a sheet of stamps, Armstrong neatly writes: "Dear Mrs. Bolyard-/ Please send your stamps to my home address & I'll do my best-/ Sincerely/ Neil Armstrong/ 1003 Woodward Dr./ Seabrook, Tex./ 77586". The NASA Manned Spacecraft Center "Official Business" envelope is hand addressed by Armstrong. The original recipient has notated it lightly in pencil "Letter from Neil Armstrong". The addressee followed up by sending a sheet of stamps to Armstrong's home address and was rewarded with his signature (see lot following). Note and envelope both in very fine condition.Auction Info
