Description
Colt Model 1855 Sidehammer Revolving Shotgun.Serial no. 6957 [receiver and lower tang], 20 gauge, 25 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight and folding rear sight. Blued finish. Sidehammer. COLT'S PATENT to left side of receiver. Brass triggerguard. Smooth walnut straight stock. Brass buttplate.
Condition: Good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina with noticeable signs of handling wear, age and patches of pitting. Fore-end absent. Few scattered scuffs present to wood. Action not working. Pitted bore.
