Firth Pond & Co. Civil War Fife.15 3/8-inches in overall length. With impressed: FIRTH POND & CO. / 547 BROADWAY / N. YORK. Below that a boldly marked C (key). Fitted brass ends. Firth, Pond & Co. were based in New York City, USA. They appear to have used the name "Firth, Pond & Co." specifically during a relatively short window (circa 1861-1863) when they held some military contracts. Their business included publishing sheet music and distributing or manufacturing musical instruments.
Condition: Very good. Overall appear to be showing honest age and handling wear. The number 5 in address number is faint.
