Description
Colt Second Generation Single Action Revolver.Serial no. 35285SA [frame], .45 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front blade sight and frame notch rear sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Colt address to top of barrel. Two-line, three-date patent and Rampant Colt to left side of frame. Smooth walnut grip panels with inlaid Colt medallions. Manufactured in 1961. Sold along with receipt from Jackson Arms (Dallas, TX), dated May 20, 1981. The Second Generation revolvers were built using modern manufacturing techniques, but they remained true to the original design and function of the First Generation revolvers.
Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 85-90% finish with thinning to relief edges, handling wear and very fine spots of pitting. Tracking line to cylinder. Few minor scuffs present to wood. Crisp action. Strong bore. From the Collection of James Schubert.
