WWII "Jolly Roger" Flag Flown by H.M. Submarine Tantalus, 1943-1944.

Measuring 37-inches X 56-inches. Black field with stitched white skull and crossbones, crossed cannons, eight stars and four bars. Attached to canvas sleeve with lanyard. This flag is accompanied with a copy log, annotated by the Captain of each of the details of Tantalus's wartime career, including kills. Jolly Roger's are rare, as they are flown by submarine's after each successful mission or action.

Condition: Good. Overall showing honest age, handling wear and some fraying. Multiple materials used to make up the flag, including cotton and linen. Blue stain on front.
