Antique Colt Single Action Army Revolver with Factory Letter.

Serial no. 165056, .45 caliber, 4 3/4-inch barrel with 2-line Hartford address. Blued and case-hardened finish. 2-line, 3-date patent mark with Rampant Colt logo. Checkered hard rubber grips. Sold together with factory letter confirming current configuration; Sold to Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Company and shipped in April to N.G. Thewby, Trustee. Shipment of 8 guns. Manufactured in 1895.

Condition: Very good to fine for this model. Retaining approximately 15-20% original blue mostly in protected areas with the balance a thin gray patina. Traces of case colors. Good bore with light to moderate pitting. Action is crisp.
