Engraved and Inscribed Smith & Wesson Model 2 Single Action Revolver.
Serial no. 13452, .32 caliber rimfire, 6-inch octagonal ribbed barrel with address reading: SMITH. & WESSON. SPRINGFIELD. MASS. Round blade front sight. Fine border-engraving to muzzle and along the rib. Breech, frame and cylinder with scroll-engraving which extends to the backstrap which has the inscription: CAPT CH?? ???U.S.A. Front of cylinder with assembly numeral 8 which is also found on left side of grip frame next to the letter H. Carved ivory grips which are numbered to the gun. Left panel a Federal Eagle clutching riband bearing the word: LIBERTY. Manufactured c1863.

Condition: Good as refinished during period of use. Retaining approximately 40-50% of the old re-nickel. General softening of engraving. Barrel hinge slightly loose, hinge screw with tool marks. Grips fine, left grip panel with old interior repair to grommet. Action good. Bright, strong bore with very light wear.
